Our Hon’ble Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, envisages a Digital India to bridge the digital divide in our country and further promote digital literacy in order to make development a comprehensive mass movement and put governance within everyone’s reach in India. In order to work towards our PM’s vision, MHRD, All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Inter Institutional Inclusive Innovation Center (i4C), and Persistent Systems organized Smart India Hackathon 2017, a unique initiative to identify new and disruptive digital technology innovations for solving the challenges faced by our country.
Smart India Hackathon 2022 is a non-stop product development competition, where problems are posed to technology students for innovative solutions. Its objectives are as follows:
Harnesses creativity & expertise of students
Sparks institute-level hackathons
Builds funnel for ‘Startup India’ campaign
Crowdsources solutions for improving governance and quality of life
Provides opportunity to citizens to provide innovative solutions to India’s daunting problems

Smart India Hackathon 2022 will have 2 sub-editions – Software as well as Hardware:

Smart India Now , you can prepare yourself to make a team along with 6 mamebers (including atleast one member must be female candidate) before 28 feb 2022.
Eligible Criteria :
All team members should be from same college; no inter-college teams are allowed. However, members from different branches of the same college/ institute are encouraged to form a team.
Each team would mandatorily comprise of 6 members including the team leader.
Each team must have AT LEAST ONE FEMALE TEAM MEMBER.
All these teams will be participating in the recommended Internal hackathons
With this new system, a team will not be able to make multiple idea submissions.
