Civil engineering is the application of physical and scientific principles for solving the problems of society, and its history is intricately linked to advances in understanding of physics and mathematics throughout history. Because civil engineering is a wide-ranging profession, including several specialized sub-disciplines, its history is linked to knowledge of structures, materials science, geography, geology, soils, hydrology, environment, mechanics and other fields.
The Department of Civil Engineering was established in the year 2010 with an academic intake of 60 students. Later it was enhanced to 120 students in 2014.The course offers a deep insight into the discipline and enables promising engineers to acquire skills required to succeed both individually as well as in infrastructure. Keeping in view of the technological advancement, the department is fortified by the most qualified and experienced faculty. The department is well equipped with modern laboratories.
